Members of SphereCom's telecommunications engineering staff have previously held senior positions with various Interexchange Carriers (IXC) and Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) that comprised the Bell System. Our telecommunications engineering staff includes seasoned military communicators who are experienced in deploying strategic and tactical communications systems throughout the world in support of the Department of Defense and other governmental organizations.

Trade Studies - Analyze and identify alternative technical solutions to satisfy the physical, logical, and functional specifications of a project.

Feasibility Studies - Perform cost benefit and technical trade-off analyses to determine the most cost-effective solution(s) for meeting customer requirements.

Requirements Analysis - Develop work breakdown structures, project schedules, technical solutions, and project level-of-effort.

Operational Concepts - Define and document how systems operate by addressing all personnel, hardware, software, and support requirements.

Transmission System Design and Implementation - Design and analyze complex communication topologies that incorporate a wide variety of technologies, including copper and fiber optic cable, line-of-sight multichannel, satellite, and cellular. Life-cycle implementation of local area, wide area, and metropolitan area voice, data, and video networks. Perform site survey and preparation, cable installation, installation testing, cutover, and operations and maintenance.

Technical Documentation - Develop a full range of project support documentation and deliverable items, such as network management plans, disaster recovery plans, operation guides, configuration management plans, training and user manuals, and ILS plans.
